The Pawfect Treat was established in 2021 and is located in Vancouver, BC. We are a small business dedicated to providing Dogs with the highest-quality, Canadian-made Treats and Chews that are both healthy and tasty.

As a child, I always wanted to start my own Dog Treat company. I used to make peanut butter dog biscuits when I was 10 years old. I would sell them for 25 cents each. Back then, the price for one treat was very expensive. I would bake the treats and put them in a brown paper lunch bag, stamped with black ink, and an image of an old English sheepdog. The reason I used this image was because of my dog. Maxine was my old English sheepdog that I had, which we called her Max for short. Max and I would go door to door with our brown paper bags filled with our treats. As a young salesgirl with her puppy, how could anyone say no.

As the summer ended, and I was heading into a higher grade, I thought that dog biscuits were too much work for me. Don’t get me wrong, I loved baking and selling them, but it took too much time away from my friends and schoolwork. I then decided to stop selling the dog biscuits. Fast forward 30 years later, I’m now in my early 40s and my children asked me if I would help them start a company. I asked them what kind of company do they want to start. Then my youngest daughter said something to do with dogs, so I suggested a Dog Treat company, and voila, The Pawfect Treat was started.
